Thanks to everyone that commented to my questions about the new =
Vibroplex Co. in Alabama. I received a number of private e-mails, as =
well as the open postings here.
The gist of the comments I received runs something like this:
When the company first moved, the quality was very poor. Since then, =
they have done a complete re-tooling which has raised the fit and finish =
of the keys dramatically, and raised the prices, also dramatically. =
There are apparently still some QC problems, but they make good on them. =
The other opinion expressed (several times) is that for the price, QC =
could/should be better.
As to the Blue Racer 2000, I've been told that it's a Standard bug, set =
on a smaller base.=20
My conclusion: If you're happy with your older bug(s), keep 'em. If =
you've never had a Vibroplex, or want to fill in a collection, by all =
means, get your order in!
