[TenTec] Darn this interface!

OK,

   I now have a pretty good working program... About 90% of the time it is 
right on the nose as to displaying on the PC what is going on with the 
Omni. The other 10% of the time the FREQ is totally wacko! Can someone tell 
me about the handshaking between the PC and the Omni? Should I be using 
software (Xon/Xoff), hardware (CTS/RTS) or none (probably not..)..

   I have added a small (1 second) delay between the time the pc issues a 
command to read the freq and the time the pc goes and looks for the data.. 
Usually that clears it up, but I have noticed times when even 2 or 3 
seconds still returns invalid data. When I step thru the program in debug, 
it always works (so, what else is new??)

Any suggestions would be appreciated...
