[TenTec] Low Level Noise in LSB transmit- Omni VI

Thanks to those who previously responded.  I have nulled the carrier (not the 
problem) and verified no hum pickup from the power supply.

Symptoms (with no  mike connected):

1.  Noise is dependent on mike gain.  Disappears with mike gain below 8 
o'clock position

2.  Noise is present only in LSB.  USB not a problem.

Is this an alignment problem? i.e. LSB too close to the carrier frequency?  
BFO off?
