Denny:  This may be an accidental double posting from you?  Most of your
first statements are basically correct.  However, your conclusions in your last paragraph are incorrect.  If the system is tuned to resonance,  it is 
insignificant and not important that the actual antenna and transmission 
line are not, by themselves, resonant.  Also, for every antenna tuner that
I have built or used,  the antenna coil would grid-dip at the operating
