Hi Bob!  Talk about past history:  in the early 80's I had the same
experience with my Omni-D beating out my TS-930S (with Fox-Tango filters -
INRAD's predecessor) as my 28 Mhz EME IF!  I'll always wonder how it would
have been back then with the OMNI VI+'s noise reduction...
