A few years ago I was using a Compudyne 17 inch monitor and it appeared to
be real trashy.  I replaced it with a 17 inch Samsung SyncMaster 700s
and it took care of the problem.

CRTs are one of the worst offenders at generating all spectrum harmonics and
EMI.
This is because they use a high voltage deflections system with generous
electromagnets on the tube neck.
