I recently completed the audio processing and monitoring section of the
RX-340/Pegasus installation. You can see the updated station at the

The audio rack consists of a Behringer MIC2200 tube pre-amp, Behringer
DSP1100P Parametric EQ, Behringer DSP1400P split-band compressor, and Yamaha
processor. The audio console is a modified Marantz Integrated amp. This
allows for split/stereo audio from the two receivers into reach ear, or by
depressing the MONO button, both receivers are mixed and the balance control
selects/blends the two audio outputs into both ears. Audio phase can be
inverted into one ear piece. The Marantz drives a small full-range speaker
for causal listening and the low-distortion isolated output option on the
RX-340 feeds the PC sound card which is connected into an Altec-Lansing
sound system for critical listening. Basically, the Marantz offers the same
audio split flexibility of the FT-1000MP receiver, but adds phase reversal
and a simple button push (MONO) makes the mix change rather than a
cumbersome menu setting like that found on the FT-1000MP. The 19-inch
desk-top rack is manufactured by Ten-Tec and matches the RX-340 rack
cabinet.
What's next? Document all this in Visio!
