[TenTec] Performance of Omni VI+ vs Mark V Field?

Hello
I have been wanting a new Omni VI+ for years, and now that I have the money
to buy one, they aren't selling new ones anymore. I have been researching
the FT-1000MP Mark V Field and was thinking serious about buying one with
their Xmas price reduction. My question to the group is, should I wait for a
very nice Omni VI+ to come up for sale, or just go for the Yaesu? I operate
95% CW and also QRP, so the SSB part of the radio does not interest me. I
have built and sold two K2's, and now im wanting something else. I am really
wanting to stay within my budget and need all the CW filters and performance
that I can get. I want to do some QRP CW Contesting, and finally try to get
WAS. I can not afford the Orion, and it is out of the question. I was
thinking about the new Argo V, but I doubt that it is in the Omni VI+
league? I really prefer Ten Tec rigs, and the 540 that im using now is great
but just need to upgrade a little. Please do not send any flames because I
mentioned a Jap rig, but im serious about needing help with the choice. That
much money is difficult for me to come up with, and it is a very serious
choice that I hope I will not have to make again for years to come. I missed
two nice rigs here for sale in the last two weeks, but they are gone now. If
someone owns both, please let me know the performance on CW, Contesting and
general ragchewing. I have bought and sold so many rigs in the last 2 years,
that it is getting very old, trying to find the perfect CW rig. Please help,
if anyone has a nice Omni VI+ for sale, please let me know. Also, please
respond off the list, to keep traffic down.
