I second that as far as clean sound with the Jupiter. I took mine out of 
the box, 2 days before the PA QSO Party, took it to the field contesting, 
the only time I had any problem is when I had a bad ground to my Laptop 
power supply and the CW interface, had a hum which I chased down. Even in 
the field running off a generator, the radio was rock solid, even my Omni 
6+ doesn't have as much flexibility as the Jupiter (even though I still 
like contesting with the Omni better due to ablitity to QSY faster and 
interface wtih contesting software easier). Like any rig, If the Power to 
it is weak the radio will suffer, Blame the PS not the rig.
