The price of top-end Japanese-made radios has jumped $100-$200 and more in 
the past few days, no doubt reflecting the fact that the yen has risen 12% 
against the dollar since February and suggesting that the Japanese radio 
manufacturers no longer can afford to subsidize the low prices that were 
prevailing in the States a short time ago. So the Orion is being offered at 
a price that keeps improving against the competition. If the yen keeps on 
rising--which the Japanese government is spending billions to prevent--the 
outlook for the Orion is even brighter. Of course, Orion still has to 
deliver the goods . . .
