Yes, it was shown operating with the Orion yesterday.
This was W4PA's response to my question about being able to use
the large VFO-A knob for RX while also using VFO-B for RX
on another frequency. I had asked if it would be possible to
make a firmware change to lock VFO-A's TX frequency so as to use the
large VFO-A knob for RX running while simultaneously using VFO-B for
RX on another frequency. This is something I've begged Yaesu for
at least the past 4 years...and they do not listen well! Be
thankful that TenTec speaks our language and has some folks on
their staff who understand performance better than cosmetics.

IMHO we should quit nit-picking the cosmetics of the Orion
until we have a chance to peek under the hood. I don't care if a
Ferrari is Red, Yellow or Chartruese as long as it performs. W4PA
is a better operator than 99.999% of the guys on this reflector
(myself included) and I'm sure he has had a lot of valuable input
into the definition of this radio. If the Orion has half the
innovations inside that I already see on the surface, we will all
be very pleased! Let's wait until we can look under the hood at
the truly important things before we get too carried away with the
colors of the paint and trim.

                                           73, Bill W4ZV
