[TenTec] Orion, headphones, clicks, and such

While I can't afford a shiney new Orion (unless someone really unsatisfied
with the lack of PTT to key it wants to donate theirs!), I did go looking
at the heilsound website to see what Bob puts into his products. While the
impedance of his Pro line of cans isn't stated in bold letters (or
numbers), looking at the repair parts page says the replacement speakers
for the Pro-Set are 200 ohm. Since they are esentially stereo phones, I
will make the further assumption that this would be 200 ohms per side and
not in parallel. I haven't had a chance to try my Heil on an Orion (still
waiting for the donations to come pouring in) but no one has said their
Orion has had clicks while using Heil phones. Even TenTec indicates that
"Solutions: One simple solution is to switch to headphones that are 32 ohms
or higher. Another simple solution is to insert resistors in series with
the headphone outputs. Values between 47 and 100 ohms have been shown quite
effective. We have a Model 365 headphone adapter containing resistors that
is available on request."
Sounds like we just need to meet the specs to get rid of most of the
problem. The increasing noise until a 'Power On Master Clear' issue is
probably different.
