Ronnie,

I thought I had a bunch of articles on speed improvement saved in the
'puter, but can't find them.

Do a Google for "improve cw speed" and you get 73,100 hits - hi. There
must be something there that can help. If you are thinking of upgrading to
extra, the W5YI upgrade kit has a cw trainer that works FB. You can import
text files to it so you are copying plain language instead of random groups.

I find my biggest impediment to high speed cw contesting is hunting and
pecking at the keyboard. Your typing has to be automatic and perfect in
order to achieve sustained high rates while contesting. Whatever you do,
train yourself to never look at the keyboard while practicing.

GL and 73,

Ron - WA9IRV
