Yea, I know it's fun. Only problem is your winning...big time!

Your right, I didn't build a PC, I just bought the exact parts and
HeathKitted them together. At least they were MY specific parts.

Your right again...servers do crash. Over a ten year period we maintained a
1.6% annual crash rate. I do believe they were doing a little more than file
sharing however.

I know apple existed way before gates, but was hoping you had forgotten
that! :>(

You win...wonder why apple never made it as big as PC's and uSoft? Naw, dont
answer that one... YOU WIN!!

ok.

Apple existed way before gates.

Try BEA.

And, oh yes, don't try to have those windows
servers actually try to do something other than
the occasional file sharing. They will crash.
I have seen systems that repeatedly crashed
windows (NT) because they could not service
requests fast enough, then recompile those
systems for unix without one line change
and have the unix boxes run at 35% cpu
utilization. Windows is ok if you don't
actually use it, or need to make changes.
maybe.

So, how is the support guy gonna connect?
Most sites still need to have the warm
fuzzy feeling that they can hang up the
telephone rather then opening their network
up for remote connects.

I refer you to my earlier comment about actually using it.

No, I didn't have to.
What exactly did you actually build?

this is fun..
