[TenTec] WTB: Orion with AT

Good Mroning Chuck! I am not selling My Orion but wanted to respond to a
couple of things you commented on.

There is no dead spot in the volume encoder, but there is a little issue
with the BW encoder. As you turn the encoder you will hit a dead spot from
time to time, but it is not consistent. This new "bug" will be fixed in a
few weeks which is usually what happens after a big update from Ten Tec.
After each update of this size and complexity there are always a few things
to fix. In essence you are getting an entirely new radio with different
characteristics from the last version. But each new update improves the
Orion so much more that the temporary inconvenience of a couple of bugs is a
non event. I will not go into all the improvements that this new version has
brought, but I think if you polled Orion owners about what is happening they
will agree with me that the Orion is getting better with each new update.

Will the Orion ever be totally "bug free"? Probably not if they constantly
update the radio to make it better. So if you are waiting for perfection
before you buy an Orion you will have a long wait I am afraid. At this time
the Orion has the best receiver on the market, and is very user friendly,
easy to get to know and fall in love with.

Ten Tec employees are only a phone call away from getting the help you need
if required. Good luck and I hope your decision to buy is more influenced by
what is great about the Orion instead of focusing on a temporary "bug" or
two that you will always have after each update.
