Dave,

I think the DSP in the Kenwood TS-570DG has to do with NR (noise reduction)and not pass band filtering.
The Jupiter has DSP pass band filtering and DSP NR. 
I think you will finding the receiver in the Jupiter to be so much quieter than the TS-570 you will not need NR. If you do use NR in the Jupiter it will take out (you will not hear) a week signal. But to say again, I found the Jupiter to be so quiet, I hardly ever used NR.
