[TenTec] Orion Losing RX Audio

The same thing happened here - just when a tough-to-work station finally
came back to me!

I am running the keyer through the accessory jack - hadn't thought of
that possibility. At the time of the failure I was running both
receivers and the Sweep function, and so was pushing the CPU pretty
hard. I backed off on the demands I was making, and had no repetition of
the problem.

I have, at times, also had the Sub Receiver start to generate a loud
buzz with no intelligible audio output. The RF portion appears to be
working - at least the S meter looks right. The only way I have found
out of this is a reboot.

>Hmmm - this could be why I have NOT been plagued with my Orion losing audio. Mine is setup to key with either the computer or with an MFJ 493 keyer to the accessory cable. When I set the Orion up I used keys with plugs that fit, so the Begali is connected to the MFJ, the Brass Racer to the Orion. And I am not enamoured of the Vibroplex' feel so I generally twist the knob on the keyer and grab the B.
