Rick: you are correct and I am wrong. The Omni V does not have the internal keyer.  And neither I nor the fellow who could not get his bug to work with the V can remember what the problem was. Field Day 1994 was a lot of contests ago.

 So a point of clarity - the Omni V does NOT have a built in keyer?? Hence no > jack for the paddles. I believe you may have it confused with the Omni VI.
