Welcome back to the hobby.  Just to clue you in, "Elmers" must now be called
"mentors", "QSOs" are now "non-Internet electronic conversations", and the
"junk box" is referred to as one's "electronic components storage facility".
However, a "lid" is still a "lid".  Some things never change...
