[TenTec] Orion 963 PS fan noise

Dick,

When I installed a 12v fan inside my Orion, I just added a 50 ohm resistor
in series with the hot lead and dropped the noise to the point the fan can
not be heard. If you do this, you might want to play around with the
resistor value to get a good compromise of fan noise vs air movement.

Hi. The fan on the model 963 power supply I'm using with my Orion seems
pretty loud. Not quite a freight train, but I can hear it through the
headphones. Does anyone else think it's louder than it should be? Has anyone
done a successful tweak to reduce the fan noise or cause it to come on less
often?
