Ten Tec repairs their old rigs for reasonable prices.  IF the meter is
square, and covered with a plastic front panel, they pry off, (gently) at a
corner with pocket knife or Xacto blade.   First run the blade around the
joints to cut into any glue line.  Likely you can iron out the scale piece
or bend it straight.  Careful heating with a desk lamp might help in this
process but do not touch the plastic with lamp.  Do any open meter work in
clean location with no metal filings nearby! Work over a shallow box or open
empty desk drawer.  You may need jewelers screwdrivers to remove a scale if
screwed to meter movement.
