Congrats on the new Orion. I purchased a demo unit for the same reason
(one was in stock when the XYL said go ahead).

If you didn't already do it, contact TenTec and ask for a copy of the
Jupiter / Orion video. It is more than just a sales tool and
demonstrates some of the finer points. The price is $10 but is refunded
with the purchase of an Orion so you should be able to get it for free.

Consider checking in to the TenTec SDR net.  The net is an unofficial
support source for all the newer TT software based radios primarily the
Pegasus, Jupiter and Orion. There's a lot of Orion experience among the
checkins and you can probably get any question answered by someone whose
already been there, done that.  The net meets Sunday at 2300Z (6:00pm
Eastern) on 7.251.
