Does anyone on this list remember Adam Osborne. His company made the a
portable computer, called the Osborne I. This was before IBM invented
the term "personal computer". The real claim to fame of the Osborne I
was that it came with a software "bundle" that if you bought each package
cost more than twice the price of the bundle, computer and all.

Why I mention it is that Adam Osborne announced the Osborne II witha six
month lead time. It was so great compared to the Osborne I that no one
bought an Osborne I in anticipation and the company went broke.

Geoff.
