Malcolm, there is indeed a typo.  The Cosair II manual shows R3 as fixed, R4 
varible as carrier null and R29 is the one that sets the display.  Got the 
display set correctly now, but still having problems getting the readout 
correct.  Just got this unit in from Ten Tec yesterday so will let them sort 
out the problem. My Corsair I and my Paragon never had a problem like this. 
Other than the readout problem the unit looks good and functions very well.
