This happened to me on 20 meters. It was a synthesizer adjustment
that was corrected when I sent it to TenTec.

Call them, they recognized the symptom immediately.

73,
Tom

Subject: [TenTec] Orion anomoly report

I discovered that my main reciever will not hear anything past 3.960 on 75
meters. From there to the band edge at 4.000mhz there is silence on the main
rcvr only. The entire band up to that point works normally. When I invoke
the sub reciever, above 3.960 reception is normal. A master reset on 1.372
did nothing to change it. The transmit will work on that band on both VFOs,
but nothing but silence, or a strong rtty signal appears that will not tune
as I change frequency with the main tuning knob.

So, why would the last 40 khz on 75 meters be faulty? Could it be a firmware
glitch or a loose connection? A bpf board relay hanging up?

The Orion appears to work normally otherwise and it took awhile for me to
find this fault.

Ive had the rig since 9/24 and bought it used. It is a 10/04 serial number.
TIA
