[TenTec] Orion VFO / Mode transfer

I've played with this for quite a while. The ONLY way I can get the VFO
mode to track is IF I have assigned an alternate VFO to the SUB-RX. If, for
example, VFO A is on 14.300 USB and you've just come from 80 metres and the
B VFO is on 3.810 LSB. With NO VFO assigned to the SUB-RX hit the A>B key.
Guess what, VFO A and B are at 14.300 but VFO B stays in LSB! If VFO B is
assigned to the SUB-RX (even if no antenna is assigned to the SUB-RX) the
two VFOs will be in USB.
So the moral of the story is keep the SUB-RX assigned to VFO-B unless
otherwise needed.

Rick

I just checked my O2 - when you hit A>B or B>A, the mode does transfer,
as does the BW and PBT if they are set to track in the RX Menu
I'm using 2.032 firmware

This IS a problem Larry. When you need to split you shouldn't need to
remember the mode you last used on the second VFO. You just want to
split.
The solution is simple. A>B or B>A should transfer mode as well as
frequency. Who wants to split frequency and mode at the same time?
Nobody I know, that's for sure. I've lost count how many times this fix
has been asked for.
I don't know why but this seems to be a concept the fellas at Ten Tec
struggle with.
