I disagree !
Here is what you really want:

Advantages:
- similar tuning range
- memories for fast band change
- coax (matched to 50 Ohms) into the shack
- smaller form-factor on the table
And by the way, that article by World Radio was full of truths as well as
garbage. It is totally wrong (as Bob pointed out) to assume that your
antenna will usually have a high impedance.
