Or maybe the 746 had its speech processor on or set higher or a different  
microphone or a louder operator or a different mic gain setting.
 
Reviews like that and "what a great radio/antenna - I worked England and  got 
a 59" mean nothing.
 
I vote for 'B" and another "B" for the reader who relies on it.
