I bought my Orion a couple of months ago - upgrading from a Jupiter -  
despite the negative comments on the list.  I have yet to experience  
any of the noted problems, and I'm running the current firmware.  I'm  
not an 'extreme' operator, and so far I am extremely happy with my  
Orion.
