[TenTec] Scout?

Hi Alan,

My Scout, complete with all band modules, is used as a rig for
portable (temporary address) operation, plus occasionally fills in in
the shack if one of my other rigs (TT Paragon and an Argosy II) show
faults.

I have recently bought a mobile mount for it, so that I can put hf
radio in my Morgan sports car (I'm still searching for a noise
blanker).

Whenever I have the rig out of the box and in use, I remember how good
it is for its size and ease of operation. Before I had the Scout I
used to take the Argosy II away with me, but I have more bands
available with the Scout, so that is now preferred.
I use an MFJ-971 ATU for portable use.

When all is fitted to the Mog the hf aerial will be tunable (80-4m) no
ATU needed.

Enjoy the 555 - it's a great little radio... ;o))
