[TenTec] Titan III Information

Hi Don. No RTTY operation here with the III. I also own a Titan I, and
have had many amps. (U may want to check e-ham reviews also)..I am
impressed with the amp. Fan noise to me is tolerable, as I wear
earphones most of the time. I do not find it objectionable. My reason
for the III is the cost of finals, and to compliment the Orion. I find
them to be a perfect match. There is room for "extra" output, and truly
loafs at 1500w.

Just got back from V25OP and getting reorganized. Glad to help, It's
my understanding they make one Titan III at a time. A very impressive
amp. Stay in touch. 73. Mark W9OP

Thanks, Mark. I appreciate your willingness to help. I wondered about
noise level of the fan and how hot it gets if you run key down modes, if
you
know the latter question. It specs full duty cycle modes, like RTTY, at
10
minutes. I can't imagine running full legal on RTTY, choosing to run
500 -
700 watts max with my old AL-1200 Ameritron, but wondering if you think
it
would handle 700 watts or so in a good rag chew, or even 1 kw if I were
chasing DX and got long winded. Those were my two main questions. I
trust
Scott and Stan in sales, but wouldn't ask a new car salesman those types
of
questions either, hi. Not that I'm comparing Ten Tec sales to that
mess,
just an analogy, hi. Tks again for your offer.
73,
Don, WB5HAK
