[TenTec] Questions on Corsair II

Dave, I hope you don't mind me writing to you in response  to your email to 
another ham radio operator who owns a Ten Tec Corsair  II.
But I couldn't help but read where you gave some advice to  Steve, N0TU, 
about rebuilding the PTO of his rig to improve the receiver. 
I just wanted to make sure I understood what was happening.  You see, my 
Corsair II is getting mushy on receive, meaning I experience warble  on signals, 
which settle out after the rig has been on for a  while.
 
You mentioned to call John at Ten Tec to get a rebuild kit for  the PTO. Do 
you know what typically goes bad in the PTO circuit to  cause the warble on 
signals? And do you know John's last name?
 
Any help you can give me will be appreciated.
