Yes, mine does the same thing.  The VOX indicator does not come  on when you 
go from SSB to CW but it is obviously still active.  It also  freezes the 
sweep when a noise activates the transmit.  Good news is you do  hear the sidetone 
when it goes into transmit so if you are in the shack you will  know 
something happened.
 
You should report this one to ditsnbits as it needs fixing.
