[TenTec] Argosy 525 Tuning LED

I believe that the 525 uses the same or similar system as the
263/283 remote VFO's used. Those are based on a simple
prescaler circuit that drives a decade counter that lights
the LEDs. Unfortunately I can't find the 263 VFO
manual/schematic that I thought I had to confirm that circuit
description.

In any case there are probably two pots on the counter board
that you can adjust to set the LED bar behavior vs. frequency
of the LED bar. As I recall one is for coarse adjustments and
the other is for fine. Your fix might be as simple as
tweaking those pots that I assume also exist in the 525 as
well. I know that I did it for the 263 some time ago.

It is also possible a jumper or two in that area has lost
contact and just need to be removed and reseated. You may
actually want to try this first.
