Seems Ten Tec learned from the Orion that "If it ain't broke don't fix  it."
Look at all the versions they made for the Orion and with each version more  
and new problems.
I am glad they came to realize that the continual upgrading was  hurting the 
business.
There is an end to how much anything can be improved even with  software.
