[TenTec] Tuning Knobs and S meter

Wayne:  About the S-Meter, it's not normal for it to read so high with no 
antenna connected, however the "resting point" which is the AGC threshold, 
can be set in the menu under "RX" for each of the four AGC settings.  Also, 
if the RF gain is not set at 100, the meter won't sit at zero.  If that's 
not where the problem is, the meter may need its mechanical 'zero' set.

Even when zeroed and calibrated for S9=50 uV, the S-meter readings tend to 
be generous on signals over S9 and stingy under S9.  See the link on my
