First you have to hear him.

The antenna helps that a lot !

Then a better receiver.

Next he has to hear you.

The antenna helps a lot !

Then maybe an amp.

Bottom line ?

Antenna, Antenna, maybe hotter receiver, maybe an amp.

In my opinion though...not a Jupiter or Pegasus.  Front ends are too weak.
I like the Corsair II over either of those from personal experience.  And of
course, add the Inrad filters to the Corsair II.
