[TenTec] Orion/O2 Drift Problem-who is interested in a fix?

My very first ham radio receiver was a Heathkit AR-3, five tubes for $29.95. 
It was sort of a clock radio without the clock, and without a cabinet either 
since that was IIRC $5 extra.  I think 40 meters had a calibration at 7.0 
and another at 7.5.  Drifted so bad I had to keep one hand on the bandspread 
knob while I was sending so I could keep it from wandering off up the band! 
Forget 15 meters--the calibration went from 20 to 25 MHz and my DX-40 tore 
up the 21 MHz IF of the TV set, so that band was off limits anyway...

God I'm glad times have changed!
