If you like a National Park campsite you could try Elkmont Campground in  the 
Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
 
This is one of my favorite front country campgrounds. Watch out for the  
bears.
 
The campsites near towns are too touristy for me.
 
Its about 25-30 miles from Sevierville though. Maybe 12 mi West of  
Gatlinburg.
