Nothing "magic" here, Bob, but here are my VOX settings:
trip level: 8%
anti-vox: 20%
hang: 0.20 sec

These setting work for my Heil headset mikes, HC-4 and HC-5, and for my 
D-104 with a Heil HC-4 element in it.
