[TenTec] weasels

Scenario:

A ham purchases a used OmniVI with essentially no filters in it. He
has it upgraded to
OmniVI+ (a.k.a. option 3) (was $275, by the way). He acquires all the
filters one at a time
and ends up with a fully set up VI. Time to sell comes along. He pulls
out the filters, which
he acquired singly and after originally acquiring the radio and sells
them at a fair price, sells
the radio at a low price (essentially eating the option 3 upgrade
expense), sells also
the 705 mike he acquired singly. Then you guys call him a weasel
although he is only
reversing the process done in acquiring the gear, attempting to merely
recoup a portion
of his expense (investment??) in the rig. Net profit in the overall
transactions will be
about -40%.

Let's get real here, fellows. Either you want to buy the radio as
equipped or you don't.
Either you want to buy the filters as advertised or you don't. Just
don't call a fellow ham
a weasel because he opts to sell the filters separately for reasons of
his own. The radios
came 'bare naked' from Sevierville, after all.

By the way, if someone wants to 'weasel' and sell me either a 30m or 20m module
for a Scout, I would be much obliged!
