[TenTec] Ten-Tec Price Increases April 1

"...what is going on at TT?" I guess they'd like to have a reasonable ROI
on their business. 2% is a small increase these days. Look at the price of
petroleum for volatility, right?

A company must increase prices to reflect the increased cost of doing
business in the day and age. Without a stable profit margin, the price of
doing business would soon drive any small business broke without price
increases.

Nothing wrong here, Gary, just a small business trying to stay in the black.
So it seems normal and usual to me.

FWIW, don't let a small price increase deny you of the pleasure of a TT rig.
They're worth what they cost...and then some.

Well, I guess my next rig will "NOT" be a Ten Tec after all. I'll just have

to be satisfied with the Argonaut V and Century 22 as far as Ten Tec goes.
That's the second price increase on the Jupiter in the past few months. Now,

they are raising it again which puts it out of contention, as far as I'm
concerned. I know Ten Tec makes great rigs but, so many price increases
within a short period of time? I could buy an Orion II but, I'm not a
contestor and as far as the Omni VII goes, I don't really care about 6
meters
or connecting it to the internet. I work mostly CW and like to ragchew once

in a while on SSB. I figured the Jupiter would be ideal for that.

I know what someone will say, "just buy one before the price increase". I
could but, with the sudden price increases, it makes me feel a little uneasy

about what is going on at Ten Tec. I'm also wondering how long the Jupiter
will be available. I just get a strange feeling that it will be the next
rig
that they decide to discontinue.
