[TenTec] Orion V2.060b Comments

I've been trying to record a "call-sign" message on the voice recorder on V2.060b and can't seem to get a good representation of my voice audio. It almost sounds like there is a "high pass" filter either on the recorder input or output. All of the lows and some of the mid frequencies seem to be missing. Has anyone else tried recording a voice message and how does it sound?
