[TenTec] Omni-VI plus question

There were at least two levels of firmware on the Omni VI+, but I don't
recall the differences- they were very minor.  Neither fixed the problem I
found (XIT offset is off by 300 Hz or so when you try to listen to the TX
freq!).  I think the difference had something to do with the keying relative
to the slight "micro-chirp" that was noticeable once someone told you what
to listen for.  But I've never heard anyone who wanted or needed to know the
firmware level on a VI or VI+.

I did a firmware update once, but I can't remember if it was on my VI or my
VI+.  In any case there definitely was one once.

As far as I know, the firmware version doesn't make any difference.

It's an OMNI VI Plus.? I've never heard anybody ask about firmware versions
before and I've had OMNI VI Plus rigs for 15 or so years.

The OMNI VII or Jupiter, yes.? That makes a difference.

Our club is considering selling an Omni-VI PLus transceiver and power supply

acquired from the original owner which works and looks FB but will be

our needs. The rig has the 1.8 SSB filter and the manuals. Is there a way to

find out the version of the firmware so we can tell potential customers? I

see anything in the manual as far as a menu item, etc.
