[TenTec] Using a comptuer microphone with a Triton 4 (544)

I have a 544 and the 580 and I get the best reports with my D-104. I think the talk that it was not a SSB mike may have come from Astatic themselves when they came out with the 10-D mike which was promoted as a SSB mike. It was a good mike and I used it for years with my Drake TR-4.

when I recently traded for a 580 Delta I thought I would try the 10D on it. Guys told me "Go back to the D-104 the audio is better. I have 2-D104's. My daughter N3GIG has a D-104 with her Atlas 210X. My granddaughter has a D104 with her TR-3.

the Triton 544 and ALWAYS the listeners prefer the D-104. Folks who know me
in person say the D-104 has the best representation of my voice. Based on
my experience, the D-104 is FAR from being a crappy microphone!
