At work in one of the office of the carpenter shop we had rebuilt a 4 foot florescent fixture with T8 tubes and a new style electronic ballast.  The radio which was tuned to an FM station, had a lot of white noise and could not hear the station very well. I turned off the lights and the noise disappeared.  So be aware of this situation.  So much for meeting FCC emission specifications.
