Thanks to all that responded with information on how to set up the Orion for
PSK especially N6IE. Turns out the Rascal appears to be defective as while
the computer was putting out sufficient gain it wasn't making to the Orion.
To get it going I used the breakout cable packed with the Orion without an
interface box, thus no direct keying and key the Orion via Vox. It works
fine although I plan to get another interface box in the future as it
provides some isolation and a more positive way to key the radio.

Hello all:

I am trying to get my Orion II running 2.039D to run PSK 31 using Digipan
and WinPsk. I seem to be having a bit of difficulty with the Orion
settings. I am using a Buxcom Rascal box with a straight thru Din cable
and
I can receive and decode fine on the laptop. I can transmit on the Orion,
and can hear it on an external receiver transmitting PSK 31 but there does
not appear to be much if any drive to the transmitter. The transmit light
on the Orion does not light and the meter does not move. My external
tuner
(LDG Z 11 Pro) also does not light either as it does in SSB mode.

I have the Orion using the aux mode as the input with the gain up to 60.
The CW selection is set to MOX and the TX EQ is 0.00 db.

Any suggestions as to drive settings on the Orion II would be most
appreciated ?
