I sure would like to know the details of that fix, which in-line
components, which traces, and which resistor.
I've had the same problem. Tried re-soldering the pins, helps for short
period. Tried pulling hard on the knob, sometimes that gets it going,
but I have to pull so hard I worry about hurting something. Tried
cleaning pins, no joy.
It does work on its own if the radio is really warmed up. Every time I
think of sending it to Ten Tec, it starts working. At Ten Tec they say
every one that has come in for the problem, they had been unable to
trigger the intermittent fault.
