[TenTec] proper caps for Omni V?

I am the initiator of the prior thread, but since my Omni V is still
sitting untouched on the work table, I am still interested in doing the
recapping properly. I have been seriously considering tantalums, since
they can have a much longer life than electrolytics. But, I also know
from my boatanchor experience that circuits which were designed to work
with crummy cheap capacitors, can sometimes have stability problems with
modern, much higher quality replacements. What sort of tantalums might
I expect to be decent, longer lasting replacements to the caps in the
radio, now? There are plenty of different types and ratings, even of
tantalums. I would rather do it right now, than to have things go bad
in a few years again, and discover that capacitors with leads, which can
be (shudder) soldered with tin-lead alloy are no longer available.
What sorts of caps and specs should I be looking for?
Thanks,
Steve WA9JML
