Hi.

If you push in the NB 223(A) button on the Argosy and expect to hear some
"quieting" of the general noise you will probably be disappointed.

It works, and works very well, on (low level) pulsed noise--like power line
interference, ignition interference, etc. It worked wonders with power line
noise in my building, although I've never tried it mobile so I can't say
anything about the ignition noise.
